Nourish Together - Weekly Newsletter - 9/30/21

Hi, Sweet Friends,

Welcome back to Nourish Together, a compilation of wellness products, practices, tips, and inspiration I'm loving right now. Plus, any updates that I feel are awesome and worth sharing.

I hope you find value in the content.

Recipe of the Week

One of Scott’s favorite desserts is this Rustic Apple Pie.

It’s made in a springform pan which means extra apple filling! So good!

For ease, I skip making my own crust and use premade. They even have gluten-free pie crust! I buy mine at Slow Pokes in Grafton, but I’ve seen GF options in other places, too.

Inspiration

Presence is something that makes us feel worthy, valued, and understood.

How might the world be different if we took a few extra minutes to be completely present with just one person every day?

The Greatest gift you can offer others is not your skill or effort, it is simply you

One of My Favorite Things (NOT sponsored, just sharing a product I use and love)

I’m a savory girl all the way, and love Pink Himalayan Sea Salt.

Martice and Amy of Scales Family Farm make the most delicious sea salt I’ve ever tasted. I love, love, love it.

It’s called Tuscan Sea Salt and contains Pink Himalayan Sea Salt, Dried Garlic, Thyme, Oregano, and Rosemary. It adds the most incredible flavor to any dish.

Next time you see Martice or Amy at a farmers market, I HIGHLY recommend you pick up a bottle. And, while you’re there, grab a jar of their Pickled Red Onions. Unbelievably delicious.

Weekly Tip for Entrepreneurs

If you’re like me, you want to do ALL THE THINGS. And, you want to do it all with the highest level of excellence.

Obviously, this is a recipe for burnout.

Following are key questions I now regularly ask myself to keep moving forward instead of feeling stuck in a state of overwhelm.

  • What’s important next? (WIN)
  • Am I making this harder than it needs to be?
  • How can I make this easier?
  • What does “done” look like?

These questions often help me take the first step without overthinking it… because “done is better than perfect.”
