Recipe of the Week
This Garlic Ginger Chicken recipe is one of our favorite paleo recipes. The chicken is melt-in-your mouth tender and full of flavor. And, as an added bonus, it’s super easy to make. We like to eat it with jasmine rice and roasted green beans. Enjoy!

Thank You, Yoga
With a heavy heart, I decided to pause my monthly yoga membership. While I love, love, love hot yoga, I’m in a season of life where heat feels more depleting than it feels healing.
I found yoga six years ago when my back pain was so debilitating that I could no longer stand up straight. As an avid fitness enthusiast, I needed to find some way to move my body while I waited to do a “real workout” again.
I didn’t come to yoga by choice, but it ended up being a blessing in disguise that changed my life forever.
Yoga taught me self-kindness. Instead of “whipping my body into shape,” I’ve learned how to listen to and honor my body and what it needs on any given day.
Yoga calmed my perfectionist tendencies. I show up on my mat to practice and play, not to perform and compete.
Yoga taught me how to better breathe and naturally tend to my anxious mind.
Yoga introduced me to a whole new community of beautiful people - many of whom have become dear friends.
In canceling my studio membership, I felt a wave of sadness wash over me. Then, I realized that yoga came into my life and did what it needed to do. It healed my back and my body. And, more importantly, it healed my mind.
Thank you, yoga.

Let them eat cake! While on vacation last week, we made King Arthur’s Gluten-Free Confetti Cake Mix for my father-in-law's birthday, and, wow, it was DELICIOUS!
The mix is free of synthetic flavors, colors, and preservatives. Even the sprinkles are naturally colored. It yielded a moist and tender cake that everyone loved.
Live well. Be kind.
