NOURISH TOGETHER - WEEKLY NEWSLETTER - 6/13/24
Note from Jamie
I like to share things that light me up, fill me with joy, and make my life easier. Nothing is sponsored. These are just things that are helping me along my journey.
While I love the idea of a Vision Board, the actual process of creating one overwhelms me. I put too much pressure on myself to find THE perfect images. My Board ends up relatively empty because I don't want to pick something that's not quite right.
So, this morning, I came up with an activity that removed the pressure and felt more nurturing.
I flipped through magazines and cut out images of places, spaces, and objects that resonated with me. I chose images of things that made me feel something.
I reminded myself not to overthink it. That the images didn't need to be perfect, they just needed to evoke a feeling.
Instead of creating a cohesive collage, I taped the images to the pages of my journal (see above). Each page held moments of magic without needing to flow together.
I then looked over the 7 pages and identified themes: nature & greenery, water, wood & stone, comfort & coziness, gentleness, and light.
I then thought about why they resonated with me: simplicity, sturdiness, wonder, discovery, playfulness, and a sense of wildness within structure.
I've decided that these themes and values are my new Vision Board. I will intentionally draw closer to people, things, and experiences that reflect them. A life of meaningful design.
I encourage you to try this exercise and see what you discover. I bet it will be wonderful
xo,
Jamie

Nourish Pick of the Week
It's 88 degrees right now as I work on this newsletter, and I am feeling the heat!
I went inside to grab a glass of lemonade and our Cooling Spray. Wow, what immediate relief!
The all-natural blend of aloe vera, peppermint, and lavender feels oh-so-good.
Pro Tip: Store it in your fridge for an extra dose of cool.
Recipe of the Week
This Balsamic Pasta Salad is super fresh and bursting with delicious Mediterranean flavors.
I use gluten-free rotini pasta and top it with Nutritional Yeast for a "cheesy" flavor. (Plus, Nutritional Yeast contains energizing vitamins.)
Enjoy!
