NOURISH TOGETHER - WEEKLY NEWSLETTER - 8/24/23
Jamie's List
This summer, I’m sharing all sorts of things that light me up, fill me with joy, and make my life easier. Nothing is sponsored. I’m just sharing things that are helping me along my journey.
Carpe Diem
I had such a delightful end to last week.
Milwaukee Night Market: Have you been yet this summer? It’s a free, outdoor event showcasing a variety of local vendors, performers, and artists that transforms the heart of downtown into an exciting fusion of all the city has to offer. Nourish is again participating at the last Market of the season on 9/13. Please join us!
Hoanchella: A spectacular fundraising event for Light the Hoan. This unforgettable evening featured boating on the Milwaukee River and the shores of Lake Michigan. The evening was punctuated with a light show on the Hoan Bridge and a fireworks display over the bridge. Did you miss it? Perhaps, a bottle of our Hoan Sweet Hoan room spray might tide you over until next year? (Pun intended)
Fire Ceremony for Letting Go: I met an amazing group of women at Waubedonia Park for a fire burning ritual over a bonfire. It’s a powerful Shamanic practice used to release unwanted energies and attachments from the past, and make space for new intentions. Burning Rituals can be used to release unhappy memories, fears, negative emotions, and anything that you are holding onto that no longer serves you. By releasing these unwanted energies and old patterns into the fire, you encourage healing at a deeper level.

Fitness
I found a new fitness instructor on YouTube this week who I’m really enjoying: Annie Taylor Murtagh.
Annie’s videos primarily consist of short arm workouts (10 min or less) that use light weights (2-3 lbs). Don’t be fooled, though. You’re still going to feel the burn.
I stacked the following three workouts as my upper body routine during my workout yesterday:
7-Min Arm Workout: Back to Basics
Nourish Pick of the Week
I had the honor of serving as a panelist at a women’s business conference yesterday.
I had a very early start time and knew that I’d need boosts of energy throughout the day to keep me going. I kept our Seize the Day Roller Blend in my purse and reapplied every few hours.
While I enjoy coffee, if I drink too much, I feel jittery. Our Seize the Day blend gently energizes without the jitters. It’s bright, citrusy, and naturally uplifting. Plus, it contains garnet crystals, the crystal of courage.
Recipe of the Week
This week's recipe, Healthy Carrot Zucchini Mini Muffins, comes from my friend, Janet.
She shared, "We love these muffins! They are healthy and an easy way to sneak in veggies for the kiddos! They are especially great for mornings on the go!"
Enjoy!
Live well. Be kind.
