NOURISH TOGETHER - WEEKLY NEWSLETTER - 7/18/24
Note from Jamie
I like to share things that light me up, fill me with joy, and make my life easier. Nothing is sponsored. These are just things that are helping me along my journey.
I've consumed a lot of politics lately and have become increasingly angry. My husband encouraged me to be more intentional with how I interact with the news. He's right. I've decided that it's time to take a break and restore my equilibrium.
I searched my wellness toolbox and was reminded of the practice called, "Savoring the good."
This simple, yet profound approach helps us find greater appreciation and joy in our everyday lives. Yes, please!
In our busy routines, it's easy to miss the small moments of happiness that occur each day. Savoring the good is all about intentionally slowing down and fully immersing ourselves in those positive experiences, no matter how small they may seem.
By practicing this type of mindfulness, we train our minds to notice and cherish the simple pleasures that often go unnoticed. It’s a powerful way to shift our focus from what's wrong to what's right, fostering a more positive mindset and enhancing our overall well-being.
Whether it’s savoring a delicious cup of coffee, noticing the glowing fireflies in your front yard, or snuggling with your adorable kiddo, this practice encourages us to tune into the sensations, emotions, and gratitude that accompany these experiences.
It’s about pausing and allowing ourselves to fully absorb the goodness of each moment, cultivating a deeper sense of joy and contentment.
I encourage you to join me in taking a few moments today to savor the good and embrace the moments of joy that come your way.
xo,
Jamie
