Note from Jamie

I like to share things that light me up, fill me with joy, and make my life easier. Nothing is sponsored. These are just things that are helping me along my journey.

Listening to My Body (Even When It’s Inconvenient)

I’ve been in that “new routine” glow lately—the kind of energy where I feel lit up, motivated, and ready to go all in. I upped my protein intake, increased my weights during strength training, and committed to showing up for myself in a bigger way. And honestly? It felt really good... at first.

But then—my body started to push back.

My stomach was upset from the sudden protein jump. My muscles were sore in that maybe-you-did-too-much kind of way. I felt worn down. Not in a “good sore” kind of way, but more like my body was waving a little white flag.

It would’ve been easy to override that discomfort and power through. That’s the old story: hustle harder, stick to the plan, don’t break the streak. But I’m working on a new story—one where I listen and respond with kindness.

So I paused the intensity. I pulled out my Digestion Roller Blend (it’s been on serious rotation), swapped my protein-heavy meals for something gentler, and when I was too spent to lift weights, I went for a long walk through a local sculpture garden instead. That gentle movement felt like a deep exhale. It was exactly what I needed.

I’m reminding myself that excitement is a beautiful spark—but going all out, all at once, can lead straight to burnout. Wellness isn’t a sprint. It’s a steady rhythm. It’s showing up consistently and kindly, even when your body says, "Hey, can we do less today?"

If you’ve ever felt the urge to go from zero to 100, you’re not alone. And if you're in that season now, I invite you to take a breath, listen inward, and ask: What would feel supportive right now? That’s where the real magic begins.

xoxo,

Jamie

Workout of the Week

This week, I’m sharing two 40-minute powerlifting workouts—one focused on upper body, the other on lower.

After going all in on new routines lately (hello, extra protein and heavy weights!), I’ve learned that intensity is powerful—but the right intensity makes all the difference. These workouts challenged me in the best way: I chose weights that only allowed about 8 reps per set, just like Dr. Stacy Sims recommends. I felt strong without overdoing it.

Strength training is essential for women—it boosts metabolism, builds muscle, and supports our health on every level. Ready to feel powerful and balanced?

Recipe of the Week

Creamy Sun-Dried Tomato Chicken & Orzo

This week's recipe, Creamy Sun-Dried Tomato Chicken & Orzo, comes from my wonderful teammate, Moorea, who says: "The sun-dried tomatoes make this extra delicious. My family loved it so much they all went back for seconds!"

Made in one skillet with tender chicken, orzo, spinach, and a creamy sun-dried tomato base, it’s the kind of comforting, flavor-packed dish you’ll crave on repeat. Enjoy!
