Jamie's List
I like to share things that light me up, fill me with joy, and make my life easier. Nothing is sponsored. These are just things that are helping me along my journey.
In my teens & 20's, I LOVED step aerobics! It was up-tempo, heart-pumping fun!
As I've gotten older, my body has become increasingly more sensitive to high-impact routines, so I've scaled back on these types of workouts. Until last week...
I was THRILLED to find Jenny McClendon, a fitness instructor on YouTube, who specializes in workouts for active seniors and beginners. While I'm neither of those things, the impact level was perfect.
Following are two of the workouts I did that brought back all of the joy of step aerobics (plus, some nice toning & strength moves)!

Recipe of the Week
On a recent grocery shopping trip, I purchased hot honey chicken meatballs and couldn't wait to use them. After finding this recipe, I knew I had the perfect way to serve them.
I made a few tweaks:
- I used chicken meatballs instead of chicken breasts
- I reduced the amount of hot sauce to less than 1 tbsp
- I omitted the cayenne pepper and crushed red pepper
- I didn't have any squash, so I used cauliflower instead
This meal was bursting with flavors! Enjoy!
Live well. Be kind.
