Feeling Stuck? Here's What's Helping Me Move Forward

For much of January, I've felt stuck. Not just in a small way— but in a deep, heavy way that made even the simplest tasks feel like a mountain to climb. I've been walking through waves of grief, and honestly, it's been exhausting.

I kept hoping my "spark" would return, but instead of forcing myself to push through, I tried something different— I allowed myself to just be. To feel my feelings, to give myself grace, to let myself rest.

Then, over the weekend, I listened to a podcast episode with Mel Robbins and Dr. Martha Beck, and something clicked. I felt seen. I felt understood. And I walked away with a perspective shift that I want to share with you, in case you're feeling stuck, too.

Here's what I learned:

💡You don't have to have it all figured out. You just need to take small steps toward what feels like freedom.

When you're stuck, it's easy to overthink, to spin in circles, to feel paralyzed by the uncertainty of what's next. But Dr. Beck shared a simple shift that can help:

1️⃣ Pause and listen to your body. When you think about a decision, a direction, or an opportunity, does it feel like expansion or contraction? Freedom or restriction? Ease or tension? Pay attention. Your body knows.

2️⃣ You don't have to see the whole path. Instead of waiting for clarity on everything, just focus on the next step that feels aligned with who you are and what you truly want.

3️⃣ Let go of the pressure to "get it right." Life isn't about making perfect choices— it's about moving toward what brings you peace, joy, and freedom.

If you're feeling lost, stuck, or unsure about what's next, this conversation gave me clarity and tools that I truly needed. It reminded me that the path forward isn't about pushing harder— it's about leaning into what feels right.

So today, I'm choosing to take one small step toward freedom. If you find yourself in this place, too, please join me. We're in this together.

Jamie
